What It Means to Be a Member

Becoming a member of Fort Union Grange means more than signing up. It’s stepping into a legacy of neighbors supporting neighbors.

Our Grange has long been a place where people gather to share ideas, lend a hand, and create meaningful connections. Membership invites you into that story, and gives you a voice in what comes next.

Whether you’re passionate about community events, preserving local history, or simply looking for a place to belong, there’s a place for you here. Contact us to learn more about joining.

A Living Community Space

Fort Union Grange continues to grow through the energy and care of its members. From restoring the hall to hosting gatherings, every contribution helps keep this space alive and thriving.

History

Founded in 1867, the National Grange is one of the oldest grassroots organizations in the United States. Granges across Oregon and the nation work at the local level to support:

Each local Grange reflects the unique needs and character of its community, while sharing common values and purpose.

  • Community resilience
  • Agricultural and rural advocacy
  • Civic participation
  • Cooperation and mutual support

How to Join

  • Find a member who will sponsor your application. Come to a meeting or event and introduce yourself. Once members know who you are and why you are interested in becoming a member, it should be easy to find a sponsor.
  • Give the application fee and dues through the end of the current calendar year to a Grange Member. Our dues are posted below.
  • Membership applications are typically voted on in the next meeting, and the local Grange will inform you of the decision.
